Ages 6 - 24 mos

 Learning Objectives

1. Independent Wall Grip
2. Breathe on Queue
3. Transition from back to front
4. Float freely on back
5. Jump in and Float
6. Jump in, float and Swim to Side

Notes: At this age, we are concerned with safety first. The priority with lessons here is to teach them to safely survive an accidental immersion. If a child masters these learning objectives, we can begin building more advanced swimming skills. However, a calm and safe back float is really what we are trying to master.

Ages 2 - 5 yrs

 Learning Objectives

1. Independent Wall Grip
2. Safe Exit
3. Breathe on Queue
4. Jump In
5. Jump In and Swim to Side
6. Swim Across Pool
7. Intermittent Breathing While Swimming

Notes: We begin exploring more independent movement through the water in the age group. We begin with safety and build on their swimming skills beyond that.

Ages 5 - 7 yrs
